Perché lo consigliamo: Perché, a differenza di tanti altri, questo è un libro che parla di qualcosa di terribile e non lo fa sembrare meno subdolo ed impressionante per risparmiare i lettori sensibili. Se scegliete di leggere questo libro, non aspettatevi che insinui, che glissi sui dettagli più pesanti, che addolcisca la pillola in qualsiasi modo. Anzi: la storia vi prenderà per mano e vi spingerà al limite estremo della percezione, portandovi probabilmente a biasimare la vittima di questa vicenda (vedere le recensioni su Goodreads per credere), o a rimanere disturbati da qualche parte della storia, fino a trovarla sgradevole. E’ da questo che si capisce come questo genere di storia vada raccontata, e vada raccontata senza nasconderla dietro il giudizio esterno dell’autore. E’ per questo che non posso fare a meno di consigliare di leggere questo libro, perché è più realistico di tanti altri che cercano di trattare lo stesso argomento e non hanno il coraggio di andare fino in fondo.

Note: Per quanto io abbia trovato il libro molto ben calibrato per la storia che racconta (i trigger non sono messi a caso), negli ultimi tempi sempre più spesso ho sentito dire online che alcune persone non riescono a leggerlo per via della pesantezza del tema affrontato. Quindi, come consiglio, prendete seriamente i trigger.
