Perché lo consigliamo: si parla poco di questa parte di storia, quella in cui è iniziata la corsa allo spazio, ancora nel bel mezzo della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Ho apprezzato il fatto che l’autore riesca a collegare eventi realmente accaduti ad una stirpe aliena che è sulla terra per aiutare gli umani a raggiungere questo obiettivo. La storia segue per lo più questa coppia mamma-figlia della razza Kipsu che ha il compito di salvare dai Nazisti un importante scienziato missilistico per poi condurlo verso gli americani. Vediamo come questa razza si è comportata sulla terra fin dall’antichità e come deve sfuggire alla minaccia dei Tracker, una minaccia non ben identificata che mira a distruggere questa stirpe. Alla fine del libro ci sono delle utili note in cui l’autore spiega gli avvenimenti storici che vengono coinvolti nella trama.
