Perché lo consigliamo: Perché Max è un personaggio che merita tantissimo, e la sua storia lo dimostra. Non si riesce a restare indifferenti davanti a questo bambino, alla sua storia particolare e alla sua famiglia strampalata. Ci sono occasioni in cui avere come protagonista un ragazzo con una storia difficile mette la trama su binari di patetismo che non danno molta soddisfazione al lettore; non è il caso di questo libro, che è sempre divertente e movimentato, più intento a raccontare una storia alle volte anche assurda, che a compatire il suo protagonista. Un libro divertente e che fa pensare allo stesso tempo, adatto ai ragazzi, ma anche agli adulti.
